Update on What I Missed

So... it's been quite a while to say the least.
First and foremost, I want to apologize for the long layoff. I started writing a novel, which kind of knocked me off of my blog for a while. Then I fell of that and failed to pick either back up for, well... a long time. But have no fear! I am back and trying to get back into the swing of things here on What Emory Says.
Today's article is focused on current events and generally catching up on everything I missed while I wasn't writing. First and foremost, I must say that the return of sports has been a pretty rousing success! Sports like NASCAR and the NBA have returned with very few (NASCAR) or zero (NBA) cases of COVID-19. I must say that I am very surprised it has gone as well as it has. However, not all sports have been an incredible success. Unfortunately, that includes my favorite sport, Major League Baseball.
As glad as I am that the MLB is back, out of all of the sports leagues to return thus far, they've had the most trouble controlling outbreaks. There've been two large outbreaks, one on the Marlins and the other on the Cardinals. The Marlins outbreak was questionable because of the circumstances around it, specifically as to whether or not the team and manager knew one of the players was sick before they played a game.
Regardless, I am very thankful that we have sports again, in whatever capacity.
In other news, my school has decided to return in a 100% online format, which was expected anyways. Kamala Harris is the vice presidential candidate, alongside Joe Biden.
Sorry for the layoff! Expect a new article soon.
