An apology for my lack of posts, and an update on what's going on.

Hey guys! I wanted to start this post off by saying that I am so sorry for my inconsistency as of late. As you know, it has been a long time since I have posted, mostly because of how busy we've been recently. The start of online classes helped with that, but my family recently moved into a new home, and there's been some trouble getting a decent internet connection. This combined with just everything that needed to get done kind of made it really hard to get around to writing on this site. So I'm sorry, and I look forward to getting back on track.

I also wanted to share my plans for the blog. There might be some opinion pieces on who-knows-what, and there will definitely be some baseball and music writing, but it will really depend on what I see, which inspires my writing. However I will definitely be writing something because I have no shortage of time during the quarantine, especially now that we are starting to get settled in. If anyone has any ideas on what to write about, feel free to shoot me an email, or dm me on my instagram @e_huffman11. I'm always open to new ideas and material!

Anyway, here's an update. As I said earlier, we moved to a house in the woods, with some more land. It's been kind of stressful with all of the moving and unpacking and landscaping, etc. But it is nice having more land, and the view out of the windows in my room is incredible! As I write this, at about 2 pm, looking out the windows in my room, I love seeing the trees and sky. In addition, we have an amazing porch with a great view into the back. This is probably my favorite place in the house, partially because of the weather. But my favorite thing about it is the audio you get. We have these wind chimes on the porch that make deep, resonant sounds that I absolutely love. On a breezy day, you get these singular, ringing low notes that are really nice. When it's really windy, the wind sweeps through the trees, making a sound like the waves crashing against a beach. That sound is my favorite of all time, so sitting out there on a windy day is like a dream come true, with that combined with the chimes. Long story short, I really like this house and look forward to getting in some quality time on the porch!

I'll probably write another post today once I finish this, but I don't know what it'll be about yet. Guess we'll see...
